Please plan your order ahead of time. We ship once a week, every Tuesday, via UPS 2nd Day Air.
Please allow for potential carrier delays of an additional 2–5 days. We recommend ordering early to help ensure your chrysalis box arrives as close as possible to your desired gifting date.

For Hawaii orders only
As we are working with live insects, we accept all orders based on the date you wish to gift your chrysalis box.
Your order will be available for pick up or be delivered to you the day of your gifting date.
You don't want to receive your chrysalis box earlier as your butterfly may emerge early. Therefore, your gift recipient may miss out on witnessing the full butterfly transformation. Generally the butterfly will expect to emerge 3 - 5 days after receiving your order.
To make sure your chrysalis has the highest chance of survival, we do keep it for a few days to monitor its health and make sure it is safe to travel before sharing it. On average, you will have 3-5 days with the chrysalis before the butterfly emerges (aka eclose).
We are not able to guarantee the emerging date as these are wild insects. However, we will provide an estimated date in the welcome note for your reference.

Free pick up at our Waipahu Home Office (94-647 Kupuna Loop) is available daily.
Additionally, flutter by one of our upcoming pop-up markets (click here to view the list) *Availability is based on first come first serve.
2. DELIVERY
We offer shipping to all Hawaii islands for $5 fee or FREE with a minimum purchase of $75.
*Should there be a delay with your product, we will reach out to you with an update. Mahalo for your understanding as the availability is based on the growth of the caterpillars.
Fret not, each box includes a detailed information on how to care and release for your butterfly. We are here to answer any questions and support you through your journey.
As these are wild insects, please note there is a 3% chance on average that it may not emerge successfully. Should your chrysalis fail to complete its eclosing, we will replace it in the next available batch. Replacement will be available for pick up in Ewa Beach or delivery service is available for a fee.
We require full 100% payment to secure your order. Once it is confirmed, we will raise and reserve the chrysalis for you. The deposit is non-refundable and we do not allow cancellation.

It was very cute. Well packaged and instructions were great. Unfortunately our butterfly didn't come out of the chrysalis appropriately and just dropped out. He was unable to dry and open his wings and unfortunately didn't make it but we understand that it's part of nature and doesn't work out for every butterfly. We may try again in the future so we can have a successful release.
One of the most magical experiences and gifts you can give somebody that is meaningful. Packaged well with excellent instructions and ability to leave a custom note.

I was fortunate enough to raise 4 monarchs last year at my home in NC. I found Paradise Monarchs on Instagram & immediately called to see if they could ship to Maui for a release while we were there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, the first week of March. The package arrived at the UPS store the day after we arrived on the island & the butterflies emerged the day before we left. They were both males & we named them Mica & Esau. Everything was perfect! This Valentine’s Day, my sister, and I decided to think outside the box for our mom. Instead of candy or flowers that would quickly die, we decided to give her the gift of a butterfly. It was very sweet and she enjoyed watching it come to fruition and setting it free. In fact, she even named it. Would absolutely do this again. I purchased these butterflies for a death anniversary. I ordered them 3 days earlier into to have them emerge on the day I needed them but shipping was delayed. I called the owner and we were able to work something out with no problem. He was very nice and helpful. The whole experience was amazing and we plan to do it again every year. I picked up the beautifully packaged chrysalis to share with my granddaughters. The butterfly hatched about 4 days after I picked it up and my girls were enchanted. We released it on my crown flower bush and it flew away in a few hours . It was a great experience.

My husband and I are from Colorado and eloped on May 12th in Oahu. We decided to do 3 individual butterflies for a release and we couldn’t have been any happier with the way it turned out. Learning the backstory behind this company and knowing what butterflies can signify made us so excited to do our release. The folks at Paradise Monarchs have been great. Out first butterfly fell.from the chrysalis and did not survive but we received a replacement at no charge. Our second butterfly did everything right and was beautiful. Just released him yesterday and enjoyed seeing fly off. Wonderful at home experience for all ages.
